2. Eligibility Requirements
Renters must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license and proof of identity (such as a government-issued ID) are required at the time of rental.
Additional drivers must also meet all eligibility requirements and be listed on the rental agreement.
3. Payment and Deposits
- Gulf Coast Horizon accepts major debit and credit cards for payment.
- No credit check is required to rent a vehicle.
- A refundable security deposit may be required depending on vehicle type and rental duration.
- All payments must be made before vehicle pickup unless otherwise agreed.
4. Rental Period and Extensions
- Rental periods are available on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
- Extensions must be requested before the current rental period expires.
- Late returns may result in additional daily charges.
5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions
- Vehicles must be operated only by authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement.
- Smoking, off-road driving, and use for rideshare or delivery services are strictly prohibited.
- Renters are responsible for maintaining fuel levels and returning the vehicle in the same condition it was received.
6. Insurance and Liability
- Renters are required to carry valid auto insurance that meets state minimum coverage requirements.
- Gulf Coast Horizon offers optional supplemental coverage for added protection.
- The renter is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft not covered by their insurance policy.
7. Maintenance and Breakdowns
- All vehicles are inspected and maintained regularly for safety and performance.
- In case of breakdown or emergency, contact Gulf Coast Horizon immediately for assistance.
- Unauthorized repairs or service by third parties are not permitted.
